Report Indonesia, Jakarta. Vannya, 25, is known for her marriage with Arya Bakrie – A member of the “Old Money” Bakrie family.
She is the descendant of Surakarta’s Sultan through her mother. But even though she is a royal, she doesn’t do and have any royal duties because of her “rank” in the royal family.
“I just want to live a simple life and make a change. Today’s society only care about ‘showing off’ wealth and that’s bad for our young & next generations.
Actually, once you know the true meaning of life, money isn’t that important.” – Vannya, when we asked her about today’s society.
Vannya studied Architecture at the University of Indonesia before taking a double degree and transferring to Curtin University in Perth, Australia.
“To change our society, we need to be a good example/role model for our young & next generations. Show them how to improve themselves and be a better person everyday.” – Vannya.
Today, Vannya is also working hard on building her business ventures: clothing-line Dua Awan and some restaurants in Indonesia.
